Vietnamese company VinFast has patented a new 2023 VF7 electric crossover in Russia.

Judging by the images in the FIPS database, this is a VF7 2023 model year compact electric crossover.

The model was shown in January 2022 at the CES consumer electronics show. The exterior design of the VF 7 was done by Lee Zhe Hoon of General Motors. Presumably, the model has an electric motor with a capacity of 300 kW (407 hp) and the range on a single charge is 500 kilometers.

The appearance of the electric car VF7 in Russia is not yet known, the registration of a patent for an industrial design does not say anything about this and may just be a reserve for the future.

In principle, Vinfast was going to develop our market, but it did not go beyond the intentions. Although the most favorable situation has now arisen for this: there is a minimum of competitors on the market.

The VinFast brand is owned by the holding company Vingroup, founded by Vietnamese millionaire Pham Nhat Vuong. He earned his seed money in instant noodle production. But the businessman has invested heavily in the auto industry and will be producing up to half a million cars a year by 2025. Therefore, it is actively looking for markets.
