Traffic police inspectors noticed that the wall of a two-storey building located on Sovetskaya Street was on fire. Without waiting for the fire brigade to arrive, the police began evacuating people. However, they saw a frightened child asking for help at the second floor window. Police Lieutenant Pavel Nikitin ran to the burning building, knocked on the door, picked up the child, covered him with his jacket and carried him outside.
The boy in the patrol car told police that his parents had left for work for a while and that he had called them and reported what had happened.
