The company’s press service told socialbites.ca that the Volga Automobile Plant does not plan to produce the Lada Iskra model. Earlier, publications appeared in the media with design sketches of a new AvtoVAZ crossover, which allegedly could be offered by the plant in 2023 at a price of 700 thousand rubles.
“This car has nothing to do with our future projects. However, we are always grateful to the fans of the brand for the numerous ideas for new cars. Lada will continue to produce new models, which we will promptly inform, ”the statement said.
The publications claimed that the domestic designer presented the image of the new Lada Iskra crossover, which will allegedly be created by AvtoVAZ in 2022-2023 in collaboration with Chinese engineers from Chery.
