Bailiffs may link artificial intelligence systems to debt collection. Some decisions are now made automatically by special programs.

Automation can remove a person from the list of travel restrictions or start the process of collecting debts on overdue traffic police fines, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The robot can:

  • identifying non-payers of administrative fines, including violating drivers
  • to start a business
  • search for bank accounts
  • when the term for paying the fine has expired, he starts the recovery procedure.

In 2023, for example, 80% of the decisions of the enforcement service will be taken automatically.

Those who pay fines on time will not be hindered by innovation: artificial intelligence will only come into effect after the payment terms have expired. The driver still has the right to use a 50% discount if the fine is paid within 20 days.

Data to bailiff robots come from the National Information System Central and Municipal Payments. The driver will be informed of the start of the enforcement procedure.

Another new provision that has entered into force gives bailiffs the right to receive from telecom operators the information necessary for contacts with the parties to the enforcement proceedings.
