Funds for the development and reconstruction of roads in the regions will be received in 2024 as part of the state program “Development of the transport system”.
The following regions are covered:
- Mordovia
- Tatarstan
- region of Astrakhan
- Kaliningrad regio region
- Leningrad region
- region of Penza
- St Petersburg.
This is additional money that will help “complete the construction and reconstruction of roads in these regions in advance so that people can see concrete results as soon as possible,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
For example, in Saransk, a highway will be built along Stroitelnaya Street with a viaduct over the railway lines and the Insar River, connecting the microdistricts of Khimmmash and Svetotekhstroy, and in St. Petersburg a traffic interchange is being built at the intersection of Moskovsky Highway with Dunaysky Prospekt for pedestrian access to the M-10 highway.
In Kaliningrad, parts of the city’s northern bypass are being reconstructed and Astrakhan will receive funding to complete the construction of the eastern bypass.
Work on most of these facilities is being commissioned by the President of Russia.
