Mazda Motor Rus LLC announced a recall in Russia of 19,795 Mazda 3, 6, CX-5, CX-9, MX-5 vehicles manufactured between April 2018 and January 2019.
The recall is caused by a failure of the low pressure fuel pump, which could cause the impeller to warp. This turns off the pump and makes it impossible to start the motor. In addition, the engine may suddenly stall while driving. You can determine the malfunction in advance by uneven engine operation or the appearance of the Check engine signal on the instrument panel.
Owners of recalled vehicles should contact the nearest authorized dealer. Mazda, whose specialists will replace low-pressure fuel pumps with new, modified ones. Work is carried out at the expense of the manufacturer.
