Our editors Vesta has already walked 125,000 kilometers. Needless to say, the car is well deserved and battered. Kirill Mileshkin’s next account of the operation of the car can be found on the pages of the last issue of “Behind the Wheel”. In addition to the “sores” that have come to light, Kirill talks about how consumables for a domestic car have risen in price over the past two years.
The fact is that all this time we buy the same consumables for Vesta and in the same store, so the data in the table is very representative.
The increase in the cost of consumables for Vesta, prices in rubles
may 2020 | Dec 2020 | Dec 2021 | May 2022 | |
Engine oil Lada Ultra 5W-40 (4 l) | 1438 | 1598 (+11%) | 2366 (+65%) | 2514 (+75%) |
Oil filter Lada | 238 | 263 (+11%) | 359 (+51%) | 813 (+242%) |
Air filter Pilenga | 202 | 239 (+18%) | 266 (+32%) | 470 (+133%) |
Cabin filter Large filter | 210 | 245 (+17%) | 308 (+47%) | 387 (+84%) |
The biggest shock, of course, was the colossal price increase of the original oil filter – more than three times! Other positions have also been added very sensitively. The most expensive item – motor oil – has almost doubled in price in two years…
