According to the St. Petersburg International Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (SPIMEX), AI-92 gasoline has become more than a third cheaper since the beginning of 2022, and today the price of one ton (on average 1360.5 liters) is 36.6 thousand rubles, or 26.9 rubles per 1 liter. According to the Petrol Plus Fuel Price Index, the average cost of AI-92 gasoline at gas stations today is 46.95 rubles, which is 20 rubles higher than the wholesale price.

Over the past week, the cost of AI-92 has fallen by 5.2%, Kommersant writes. AI-95 gasoline became 5.4% cheaper – a ton (1333.33 liters) costs 40.7 thousand rubles (30.53 rubles per 1 liter (51.69 rubles at gas stations)).

The cost of summer diesel also fell, but only by 1.8%. A ton (1162 liters) today costs 53.5 thousand rubles (46.04 rubles per liter (store price is 53.19 rubles per 1 liter)).

The drop in fuel prices is caused by the limited ability of Russia and Russian companies to export it to other countries due to the sanctions imposed.
