Lada cars are often considered by insurers to be unfit for use after an accident, that is, to receive “total damage”. This is stated in the study of VSK Insurance House (available from socialbites.ca).

According to the insurer’s report, according to the results of the first nine months of 2023, Lada cars became “complete” after the accident in 22% of cases. Following a sort of anti-rating are cars branded Toyota (7%), Hyundai (5%) and Kia (4%). Renault, Volkswagen, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet and Mercedes-Benz completed the top 10.

According to VSK, almost 3% of traffic accidents during this period were serious accidents. The perpetrators of such incidents were men in 68 percent of cases. Most often, the culprits of serious traffic accidents are young people – 23.5% of such traffic accidents are caused by 30-year-olds, another 19% are drivers under 30 years old.

The leading region in the number of “total” accidents this year was the Novosibirsk region (11% of cases). The anti-rating covered Moscow and the Krasnodar Territory (7% each, despite the difference in vehicle fleet volume), the Moscow Region (7.4%) and the Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions (4% each).
