Lada Vesta becomes less Russian after production restart

For the first time since the resumption of Lada Vesta production, the government assessed the level of localization of this car. The points it received decreased compared to before the crisis, he is writing Kommersant referred to AvtoVAZ’s result in October.

However, production of the last two modifications has not yet been resumed.

Vesta’s points have been reset for electronic components including instrument cluster control units, body electronics, ABS and ESP. AvtoVAZ also increased the overall level of localization through research and development work (R&D). At the end of 2021 it received 635 points from Vesta – currently it is at 1.9 thousand points.

Despite the decrease in points awarded to electronic components, the overall level allows AvtoVAZ to continue to receive compensation from the state for 100% of the paid recycling fee. For 2023-2024, the minimum score required for this is 2.6 thousand points.
