How happy?

Grant drives a VAZ-11182 more pleasant than before. It’s not so much the three horsepower gain that’s felt, but the 80 percent availability of torque as early as 1,000 rpm. Of course, 143 Nm of Lada does not make a cannon, but the elasticity of the engine is good – you can change gears less often.



There is less noise and vibration. And although the compression ratio has increased slightly (from 10.3 to 10.5), you can fill in the AI-92. Granted, with the caveat “if AI-95 is not available.” But for whom is it available in the current economic situation?


As promised, oil consumption for waste will be halved. The oil separator in the valve cover has been significantly enlarged for this purpose. Oil scraper rings – removable, from the improved engine 1.8. The declared resource of the engine is 200 thousand km. Admittedly, we have not yet noticed much economy: in the combined cycle, the editors Grant consumes 8.5 l/100 km.
