Following the identification of insurance approaches, OSAGO policies will be united in Russia and Belarus. This was stated in the State Duma by Vladimir Chistyukhin, the first deputy governor of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. transmits TASS.

“In the context of ensuring unity of insurance approaches between Russia and Belarus, this issue is of great importance, especially due to the green card shift. “However, we must say something very important here, that this decision must be made carefully, that is, after meeting the rules and conditions of compulsory traffic insurance valid in the territory of Russia and Belarus,” he said.

According to Chistyukhin, this issue is being discussed jointly with the Belarusian side. A representative of the regulator noted that once the identity of approaches to insurance is achieved, it will be possible to quickly implement compulsory traffic liability insurance, common to the two countries. He also added that the Central Bank supports the idea of ​​MTPL policy being tied to the driver and not the vehicle.

Average cost of an MTPL policy for individuals in Russia in the first half of 2023 reached 7.2 thousand rubles, which is 21.6% more than in the same period in 2022.
