In the period from May 21 to May 27, AI-92 and AI-95 petrol at Russian gas stations fell by 0.1% in price, prices for AI-98 and diesel fuel also fell, RIA Novosti reports based on Rosstat data.
AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline started falling in price during the week of March 4 to March 11 for the first time since September 2021. Prices for these brands have been falling weekly for almost three months in a row.
The average cost of AI-92 and AI-95 decreased by 4 and 3 kopecks, respectively 47.24 and 51.31 rubles per liter. The AI-98 brand and diesel fell in price by 1 and 2 kopecks, to 60.14 and 54.44 rubles.
The drop in gasoline prices occurred in 22 subjects of the Russian Federation, especially in the Krasnoyarsk Territory – by 1.4%, Rosstat reported. The increase in the price of gasoline was registered in the regions of Tyumen (except for the autonomous districts) and Kirov – by 0.4% and 0.1%, respectively.
Petrol prices have not changed in Moscow and St. Petersburg over the past period.
From May 23 to May 29, gasoline production in Russia increased by 4.2% compared to the previous week, to 796.6 thousand tons, while diesel fuel decreased by 2.8% to 1.435 million tons.
