The Aurus carmaker is experiencing no shortage of spare parts and components, and 60% of the components in these cars are Russian, the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) press service told TASS.
The share of Russian components is constantly increasing, the company has been working on this since the opening of the factory, the press service emphasized.
Today, much work remains to be done on the deep localization of the entire automotive industry, including the Aurus brand, said Timur Shagivaleev, general manager of the Alabuga SEZ.
“There are times ahead when all parts of the car must be 100% localized in our country. We have to be the best in the world, we have to be competitive and localized and earn enough money to both pay good wages to workers and to have money left over for further modernization of development,” Shagivaleev said.
Aurus is a Russian premium car brand consisting of a limousine, sedan, minivan and SUV. Cars are produced at a factory in Tatarstan.
Under the Aurus brand, it is also planned to produce helicopters and aircraft, which, among other things, will also be produced on the territory of Tatarstan.
