In the short term, a new bill will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration, with a new article in the Code of Administrative Violations (CAO) – for aggressive driving – appearing. The author of the bill is the head of the State Duma Labor Commission, Yaroslav Nilov.
“We believe that aggressive driving, i.e. a driver committing a combination of several illegal acts in a relatively short period of time, can only be committed with intent, i.e. with awareness of the illegal nature of his acts , in view of their harmful consequences, the desire to start or an indifferent attitude towards them,” Izvestia is quoted as citing an explanatory note accompanying the bill.
Often examples of aggressive driving can be seen in videos posted on social networks, which is also indicated in the explanation:
“drivers of expensive foreign cars demonstrate dangerous driving, indulgence and disregard for road users, as well as administrative fines imposed on them.”
It is believed that the fine for aggressive driving will be 5000 rubles. Repeated violation will already cost the driver 10 thousand rubles, and he can also be deprived of his rights for up to a year.
