On the night of May 30, a Hyundai Creta crossover parked in one of Samara’s courtyards was unexpectedly attacked by a pack of stray dogs. The owner of the car at first thought that the heavy rain that broke out that night had triggered the car alarm, but it was not possible to turn it off – she continued to work without stopping.
The woman walked to the car and realized that the reason was not the rain and not even a person.
An unreal dog jumped on the hood of my car and there were three other dogs nearby, tearing my car apart with their teeth and claws. I was all alone in the street, no one came out, although I screamed heartbreakingly, because I was in a state of passion. I do not understand at all how I had the courage to approach even at a distance of 10 meters. I threw stones, screamed, but nobody helped,” Volga News quotes Catherine.
Ekaterina adds that the described lasted about 20 minutes, and the police officers who arrived on call recorded the incident, but stated that it was not within their jurisdiction. “I called the emergency service, they referred me to the department. They told them to wait for the dogs to run away – they are not in the business of catching emergencies… They recommended waiting for the dogs to get out of the car! – the owner Ekaterina is outraged.
The woman thinks the cat that got under the car could be the cause of the incident, and is concerned that it is now completely unclear who will pay for the damage to the car. And also fears that the dogs will return and pounce on people. “I’m just in shock and don’t understand what to do now,” she adds. Now Ekaterina and her sister are looking for eyewitnesses to the incident.
