Viktor Vodolatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, suggested free travel on the M-4 Don highway and wrote about it on his Telegram channel.
He notes that with the continued imposition of restrictions on air travel at airports southern and central regions of the Russian Federation, the load on federal highways has increased.
On the M-4 Don highway, on the route from Rostov-on-Don to Moscow, there are 11 toll points, which is a financial burden for all drivers, including rising logistics costs.
Vodolatsky is going to appeal to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation with a proposal to temporarily cancel the fare on the section of the federal highway M-4 “Don” Rostov-on-Don – Moscow, while air travel restrictions in the southern region of Russia are in effect.
This is not only necessary for drivers from the south, but also from other regions, both towards Moscow and towards the south, the deputy believes.
Temporary flight restrictions for 11 southern airports have been extended until June 6. They were introduced after the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine. Airlines cannot deliver passengers to the airports of Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista. The rest of the Russian airports operate normally.
