“Today, global markets are flooded with cheap Chinese electric vehicles. And their prices are kept artificially low thanks to government subsidies. This is causing disruption in our markets. Since we cannot recognize these distortions in our own market, we cannot recognize them from the outside. Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Commission has launched an investigation into subsidies for electric cars from China.

The most popular electric car model of August was Zeekr 001 (244 cars were sold in August). This is followed by Volkswagen ID.4, Hongqi e-HS9, Evolute i-Joy and Tesla Model Y.

From January to August, 6,995 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia; This figure increased 4.4 times compared to the previous year.
