Russian automaker AvtoVAZ plans to increase exports to CIS countries. In this respect reports TASS cites Sergei Gromak, the company’s vice president for external relations and interaction with shareholders.
“We plan to increase our export volume to our traditional markets, Belarus, Kazakhstan – CIS countries,” he said.
According to him, Africa remains one of the key markets for exports.
AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov in July 2023 statedHe said the company could develop special modifications of Lada for the African market, including the right-hand drive Niva. But as the head of the automobile company noted, the development of new modifications requires a lot of time and effort from the engineering side. AvtoVAZ is also focusing on restoring the Russian component base, localizing and launching new products.
