“Russian electric vehicle manufacturer Atom and the Moskvich factory signed a memorandum of understanding for the provision of services for electric vehicle production on the factory territory. According to the document, Atom will use contract assembly services as well as other related services.”
It was noted that the Moskvich factory was chosen as a partner due to its advanced technological infrastructure and high-quality production.
The Atom electric car will receive an electric motor that can accelerate the car to 100 km / h in 8 seconds. The maximum battery capacity will be 77 kWh, and the range will be 500 km. The manufacturer claims that an eight-minute charge will take enough energy from the battery to drive the car 100 km. The car will be equipped with hinged doors without a central pillar, a steering wheel with a built-in screen and various driver assistance systems.
The Atom project plans to produce 10 functional prototypes of an electric car this year and prepare a model for mass production in 2024. The start is scheduled for 2025.
