Former AvtoVAZ artist Vasily Markin prepared a sketch design project for the New Volga. In this respect informs Telegram channel “Autoflow”, which broadcasts pictures of cars.
According to Markin, he relied on the internal combustion engine layout when developing the design of the machines. The images show two body modifications of the New Volga – a sedan and a station wagon. The length of the sedan is 4900 mm, and the wheelbase is 3000 mm. Volga nameplates are placed on the trunk lid of cars.
It is noted that references to the classic “Volga” in the form of a car are a three-volume silhouette and a wide rear pillar without windows.
Production of Volga cars began in 1956 with the GAZ-21 model and ended in 2009 when the last GAZ-31105 sedan rolled off the assembly line.
