The Mahindra Scorpio-N is a new mid-sized SUV that will go on sale on June 27. In terms of design, the Scorpio-N looks quite modern. There are no photos of the interior, but the company promised it will be top quality and receive “advanced modern features and the latest technology”.
The SUV is built on a new frame jointly developed by Mahindra Research Valley (India) and Mahindra North American Technical Center in Auburn Hills (USA). This frame makes the car safer than its predecessor and improves off-road performance.
Scorpio-N will be offered with both gasoline and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmissions. The drive of the car can be either full or rear, which makes it more affordable. Local media speculate that it could get 2-litre petrol engines and 2.2-litre turbo diesel engines.
