Students of Ulyanovsk State Technical University (UlSTU) conducted the first tests of the UAZ Patriot all-terrain vehicle with an unmanned control system. In this respect informs corporate newspaper “Panorama UAZ”.
According to the newspaper, externally, the unmanned SUV does not differ from the regular UAZ Patriot model. The prototype is equipped with automatic transmission, power steering, pusher, global positioning system and navigator. Remote control is carried out by means of the remote control.
The team plans to write control programs for the unmanned UAZ “Patriot”, which can be used in agriculture and for the delivery of goods in closed areas.
Field tests of the unmanned UAZ “Patriot” were held in Nizhny Novgorod.
