The ban on the export of cars and hybrid cars with an engine displacement of more than 1.9 liters to Russia entered into force on August 9 in Japan. In this respect informs TASS.
The restraining decision was made on July 28 as part of the next package of anti-Russia sanctions, which the Russian side has repeatedly described as illegitimate. Both new cars and used cars were covered by the restrictions, but the supply of new cars from Japan to Russia was stopped in 2022.
In addition to cars, truck tires, car seats, car locks and more were also subject to export restrictions.
