State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that deputies should decide to use only domestic cars as official vehicles. TASS.
He supported the proposal of the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov to be ready to buy Russian cars for the needs of the department.
“We [депутаты Госдумы] We can make the same decision as you regarding cars used by the State Duma. We have Moskvich, we have Lada, we have Aurus,” Volodin said at the general assembly.
According to him, with such decisions “the domestic automotive industry begins.” The president stressed that “if there are other cars” Russia will not create its own automobile industry, and the Russians will not use cars from unfriendly countries.
Volodin suggested to Siluanov to work on this issue so that all federal and regional bodies are involved in it.
Earlier, the idea of using domestic cars for officials was already voiced in the State Duma. So, in June, a deputy from the United Russia party Sultan Khamzaev declarationthat all foreign luxury cars “should be a thing of the past” for the authorities.
Previously in the State Duma suggested prohibits lending to foreign agents.
