The assembly of cars has resumed at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. Note that production was halted from April 30 to May 15, taking into account holidays, weekends, and public holidays (May 4 to 6 and May 11 to 13), but the company continued to carry out scheduled shipments of cars, and also conducted a spring campaign to repair production equipment.
This year, UAZ has already suspended the assembly of cars – the conveyors were stopped on March 14 and 15, and an unplanned inventory was carried out at the enterprise. At the same time, many industrial sites continued to operate and only some of the staff were taken on short paid leave.
The shutdown in March was accompanied by a change in logistics flows, and, as the UAZ press service told Za Rulem at the time, after the resumption of production, problems with some components persisted, but there was still a certain supply of spare parts. The company was stable in the second half of March and all of April.
Recall that UAZ, the main asset of the Sollers group, now produces the SUV families Patriot, Pickup, Hunter, Profi and SGR. The company refused to develop new models.
