The recycling fee for cars in Russia will increase from August 1. In automobiles, the rate will increase by 1.7-3.7 times, informs RIA Novosti refers to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and a government decree published on the official legal information portal.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, “The recycling fee of cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses will be indexed as of August 1, 2023.”
The increase in the recycling fee will affect legal entities importing new and used cars into the Russian Federation. It will also affect individuals who bring cars for resale.
“Citizens (as for legal entities) who imported an imported car after August 1, 2023 and plan to resell it on the territory of the Russian Federation within one year from this date will have to pay the full rate of the recycling fee. Ministry of imports,” he said.
Vehicles imported by individuals for personal use will not be affected by the price increase.
Depending on the engine volume, the tax increase will be 1.7-3.7 times for passenger cars, 2.5-3.4 times for light commercial vehicles and 1.7 times for trucks. The increase in rates will affect new and used cars.
It was previously known in Russia launched domestic automotive ABS production.
