Choosing a car in the back of a minivan as part of the “gray” import, Russians mostly prefer Korean and American models. Dmitry Rogov, founder of the RogovMobil company, spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca (specializes in turnkey delivery of cars from South Korea, Europe and Japan).

“Minbuses are no less popular among Russian residents than crossovers or minivans to order from abroad. This is due to the versatility and large capacity of such machines. Basically, customers choose cars worth 3.1 million rubles. Up to 4.5 million rubles. Among the popular ones are the Hyundai Grand Starex, the newer Hyundai Staria and the American Chevrolet Express, which is again considered a minibus.

According to him, such models are often chosen in the maximum configuration. There are electrically adjustable and ventilated seats, leather seats, a good infotainment system, navigation, panoramic roof and much more. In addition, the cars have powerful but economical engines and automatic transmissions. Rogov emphasized that the Russians often order all-wheel drive minibuses.

Yang Heitzeer, former Vice President of the National Automobile Association said “Gazette.Ru”, where crossovers lost the least in the secondary car market.
