In the first half of 2023, the average of checks to buy bus tickets increased by 33 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. This is stated in a study by the Russian Standard Bank commissioned by socialbites.ca.
That is, a year ago Russians spent an average of 92 rubles for a bus ride, while this year the average ticket price was 122 rubles.
At the same time, according to statistics, in the face of increasing interest in domestic tourism, Russians began to travel more frequently by bus across the country. Following an analysis of payments made by debit cards, the share of payments for urban, intercity and suburban routes during the year increased from 37% to 44% of the total number of payments for other modes of transport.
It is stated that women use bus transportation more than men. In the current year, 59% of such payments are made, and men – 41%.
