Belarus and Russia have decided to implement the plan to liberalize international road transport to third countries from 2024. This was said by the Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy, informs agency RIA Novosti.
According to Krutoy, the parties agreed on a four-stage plan to eliminate the need to issue permits for the transportation of goods. From 1 January next year, unauthorized work will begin with Serbia and the Balkan countries, from 2025 within all CIS countries, from 2026 with all EU countries and the United Kingdom, and from 2030 with all other countries.
“Unfortunately, today this licensing system appears to be a huge anachronism and negatively affects the work of our road carriers in Russia and Belarus under sanctions,” said the ambassador.
Formerly Russian and Belarusian deputies accepted draft model law for a unified OSAGO.
