Russian holding S8 Capital will buy Japanese tire manufacturer Bridgestone’s factory in Ulyanovsk. In this respect informs RBC with reference to its own sources of information.

It was noted that the negotiations on the acquisition of the Bridgestone tire factory in Ulyanovsk have been ongoing since February 2023, and that the agreement could be concluded before the end of this year.

It became known in October 2022 that Bridgestone plans to sell its tire factory in Russia. The company announced this step with general uncertainty. It would take several months to find a new buyer, according to the brand.

The production capacity of the Bridgestone plant in Ulyanovsk is 2.4 million tires per year. The company can produce tires in standard sizes from 13 to 19 inches.

Previously reportedthat S8 Capital, which develops high-tech services, has signed an agreement to buy the Russian assets of German tire manufacturer Continental.
