Compared to 2021, the number of taxi and car-sharing car accidents increased by 22%, according to the insurance company. Payment volume increased by 8% compared to the first quarter of 2022. The average amount of compensation after an accident in this category of transport in the current year amounted to 61 thousand rubles.
Among Lada cars, Granta became the leader in the number of such accidents (44% of insured incidents). While the Sprinter minibus was the model with the most accidents in transportation among Mercedes-Benz vehicles, Solaris and Logan were the models with the most accidents among Hyundai and Renault brands, respectively. Drivers over 60 are most responsible for taxi and car sharing incidents (31% of incidents). Another 21% falls into the 40-49 age category.
“The most urgent taxi and rideshare drivers live in the metropolitan agglomeration, the Kaliningrad region, the Krasnodar Territory, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, St. Petersburg and Mordovia,” says the study.
