Russians often order compact crossovers of Korean and American brands from abroad, if they have limits of 2 million rubles for the purchase of a car. This was told socialbites.ca by Dmitry Rogov, the founder of the RogovMobil company specializing in the delivery of cars from abroad. According to him, we are talking about cars that have never been sold on the Russian market.
“With an amount of up to 2 million rubles, buyers often choose front-wheel drive Hyundai Kona, Kia Niro, SsangYong Tivoli and Chevrolet Tracker. These are about 2018 or 2019 cars with a mileage of at least 80 thousand km. “The technical condition of such four-to-five-year-old cars will not be the best.”
According to the expert, Russians buy such cars because they are cheaper than classmate models popular in Russia, they are inexpensive to maintain and it is easy to sell the car on the secondary market. In addition, they are more equipped: the package usually includes a leather interior, sunroof, climate control, lane keeping function, blind spot monitoring system and much more.
“Recently, Samsung crossovers from Korea, which are copies of Renault models, are also in demand. For example, Samsung QM3 and Samsung XM3. Its French “twins” are Renault Captur and Renault Arkana, respectively. They also fit up to 2 million rubles in the budget,” he said.
Yang Heizeer, former Vice President of the National Automobile Association (NAU) said “socialbites.ca”, where crossovers are least depreciated in the secondary automotive market.
