Chinese Hongqi cars enter the Russian market

According to the statement received by the auto company socialbites.ca, by the end of June, four models of the Chinese premium brand Hongqi will be available at 12 car dealerships in Russia.

Initially, the Hongqi H9 premium sedan will be offered at dealers, equipped with a hybrid power plant based on a two-liter turbo engine and an all-wheel drive E-HS9 electric crossover. Within a month, the HS5 all-wheel drive crossover and the H5 sedan will appear in the showrooms. Hongqi’s partners were dealers Panavto, Avilon, Klyuchavto and others.

It is planned to create a warehouse of spare parts and consumables for Chinese brand cars in the Moscow region. In the first place, Moscow, St. Hongqi dealer centers will start operating in major cities such as St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don and Sochi. The distributor of the brand was the company “FAV – Eastern Europe”.

The name Hongqi is translated from Chinese as “red flag”. The brand was founded in 1958 by FAW. Hongqi cars are used as the representative leadership of the PRC. In Russian, the press service of the brand recommends calling the brand “Khonchi”.
