A driver who decides to crash within the framework of the “Europrotocol” for OSAGO without calling the traffic police inspectors risks being without compensation if the culprit of the accident has a fake policy. Automobile lawyer Grigory Kolpakov told socialbites.ca about this.
“Even when traffic police inspectors arrive at the scene of an accident, they often recommend that drivers quickly issue a Europrotocol and pull cars off the road. But if the policy contains invalid, fake or incorrect data, the insurance company will therefore refuse to pay, ”explained Kolpakov socialbites.ca.
He warned that if the accident is registered by the traffic police only according to the “Europrotocol” without determining the conditions, there will be great problems in paying compensation from the perpetrator of the accident through the courts.
You can check the availability of an OSAGO policy for a car and its validity at the time of the accident through a special online service on the website of the Russian Association of Auto Insurers (RSA). Kolpakov, you should also make sure that the OSAGO policy provided by the second person involved in the accident is issued specifically for the car involved in the accident and that there are no errors in it.
Former autocriminalist Maxim Shelkov said “socialbites.ca” on the signs of fake car dealerships.
