A tourist from Turkey in Moscow paid 14 thousand rubles for a 40-minute taxi ride, informs Baza Telegram channel.

Cetin, 26, decided to go to a hotel while visiting the center with his friends. The company decided not to use the apps and approached a group of taxi drivers on Nikolskaya Street. One of the drivers agreed to take the order without specifying the cost of the ride.

The taxi ride from Nikolskaya Street to Belorusskaya metro station (about 6 km) took 40 minutes. At the end of the trip, the driver gave Chetin an electronic taximeter with a check for 14.3 thousand rubles. The tourist was confused by the exchange rates and gave the taxi driver the full amount. He then remembered that he had not pledged more than 1 thousand rubles for the trip and contacted the police.

Previously reportedThat the driver in Kaliningrad tried to get away from the police after hearing that he owed 400 thousand rubles.
