A criminal case has been opened against an 18-year-old driver who struck a pedestrian in Taganrog. informs SU IC RF for the Rostov region.
The incident occurred in Parkovy Lane last April. According to investigators, the driver of the car collided with a 41-year-old pedestrian crossing the street. During the discussion, the young man got out of the car, hit the pedestrian with his hand in the head and disappeared. The pedestrian, who fell and hit his head on the ground due to the impact, died a few days later as a result of closed head trauma in the hospital he was taken to.
The investigation opened a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentionally causing grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim as a result of negligence). The 18-year-old driver has been placed under house arrest, with investigators establishing the circumstances of the crime.
