A court in Volgograd accepted the claim of Alexander Varlamov, deputy head of the Dzerzhinsky district, who crashed into another car while driving a Kia Sportage, and then sued the driver. In this respect writer v1.ru.
Varlamov’s rival claimed on social networks that at the time of the accident the official was drunk and the traffic cops who came to the scene did not want to examine him. It was later revealed that the official was taken to the hospital for examination and that no traces of alcohol or drugs were found on him.
In his lawsuit, Varlamov demanded that the information allegedly drunk at the time of the accident be denied and that the other driver be compensated for non-pecuniary damage. The trial lasted about a year and a half: the accident occurred on September 17, 2021 in Volgograd, and 41 days later Varlamov sued the driver who accused him of drunk driving.
He demanded the refutation of information about his drunkenness and the return of 100 thousand rubles for non-pecuniary damage. As a result, the court demanded from the driver 10,000 rubles for non-pecuniary damage, 30,000 rubles for the services of a representative, and 2,100 rubles for payment for state duty and notary services.
