Chinese manufacturers may occupy 60% of the Russian automobile market by the end of 2023. This was expressed by Tatyana Grigorieva, CEO of the international consulting company Avtoboss, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Of foreign companies in Russia today, only the Chinese remain – these are Geely, Haval, JAC, which replaced Renault, and Chery, which seems to be our main brand of the year. Although until recently there were very few “Chinese” in our car market, I think by the end of the year they will occupy 60% of them,” said the expert.

According to the Association of European Enterprises, sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCV) in the Russian market in 2022 amounted to 687,000 units, down 58.8% compared to 2021.
