Vehicle owners claim that over-the-air software updates reduce the range of their vehicles by 20%. The lawsuit claims that Tesla vehicles are “safe computers” and therefore the updates violate consumer rights. Lawyers representing car owners say they often notify consumers when other automakers update their cars.
