Petersburg arrested seven suspects for the sale of fake OSAGO policies, informs MIA Media. During the searches, investigators discovered a database containing information on the manufacture and sale of nearly 3,000 fake insurance policies.
The attackers were found to have set up a mailing list on the messenger, in which they introduced themselves as representatives of well-known companies and offered to publish OSAGO at 15-20% below the market price. The scammers sent a link to a phishing site after requesting customer data. When he clicked on the link, the tool owner downloaded malware.
