The All-Russian Passenger Association is asking the authorities to delay the introduction of some of the changes to the so-called “taxi law” for a year – until September 1 next year. writes about it red blood cell referring to a letter written by Ilya Zotov, head of the association, member of the Public Service.
The document was sent to Andrei Turchak, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia.
The law was enacted in 2022. Accordingly, it is planned to create three registers in each region: taxi order services, carriers and passenger taxis.
The federal state information system for passenger taxis will collect information from regional registers. The Ministry of Transport was appointed as the operator.
A taxi driver for work must conclude a formal employment contract with the carrier. He will not be able to work as a taxi driver if he has an extraordinary criminal record and more than three unpaid administrative fines.
Regions can set requirements for the car’s color scheme and environmental class. Taxi services will also provide the FSB with access to databases used to receive, store, process and transmit orders.
The All-Russian Passenger Association warned that from September 1, taxi users may experience carrier shortages due to such registrations.
