The incident occurred in Feodosia on the evening of April 30. Traffic inspectors noticed citizens with symptoms of alcohol poisoning traveling in a Nissan car. The driver ignored the stop request. During the chase, the police officer fired warning shots into the air and then fired several bullets into the wheels of the intruder’s car. The followed car crashed into a street lighting pole and rolled over.
“As a result of the incident, the 55-year-old driver residing in the village of Yuzhnoye died at the scene as a result of a gunshot wound to his head. In the IC statement, it was previously determined that one of the bullets bounced off the body of the car and hit the victim’s head.
The 48-year-old passenger, who was in a foreign car, was taken to the hospital. To determine the circumstances of the incident, the investigation appointed an automotive technical, ballistic and a number of other investigations.
