Sergey Kogogin, general manager of KamAZ and investor of the Atom project, said that mass production of Atom electric vehicles is planned to start in 2025. transmits Hit the lining.

According to Kogogin, the production of machines for test trials is scheduled for this year. The presentation of the “Atom” prototype is scheduled for May this year in Kazan.

The Atomic electric car production project is being developed by the Kama company, investors in approximately equal shares were personally Kogogin and businessman Ruben Vardanyan.

Atom plans to produce four models of electric vehicles: a two-door city “Duo”, a family “Family”, separate cars for taxi and delivery. All models are expected to have a maximum range of 500 km on a single charge.

Last year reportedthat the venture plans to buy the idle Ford Motor Company plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. The factory where Ford produces passenger cars until 2019 is expected to be Atom’s main assembly plant.
