Choosing station wagons as part of the “gray” import, Russians most often prefer Korean and German models. Dmitry Rogov, founder of the RogovMobil company, spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca (specializes in turnkey delivery of cars from South Korea, Europe and Japan).
“Oddly enough, station wagons are as popular as crossovers to order from abroad. In general, customers choose C- and D-class cars, the cost of which is 2.1 million rubles. Up to 3 million rubles. Among the most popular station wagons are Kia Ceed, Kia K3 GT, BMW 3rd and 5th series, Audi A4, Volkswagen Golf Wagon, Skoda Octavia.
According to him, most often people order station wagons with powerful engines in combination with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Such cars are an alternative to crossovers. Rogov said that all cars are usually ordered in the maximum configuration.
Jan Haytseer, former Vice President of the National Automobile Association (NAU) said “socialbites.ca”, where crossovers are least depreciated in the secondary automotive market.
