The head of the traffic police of the city of Ivdel in the Sverdlovsk region, Maxim Anisimkov, was arrested for extortion and taking bribes. In the Sverdlovsk District Court, they said that he will remain in custody until June 11 this year, transmits TASS.
Anisimkov is charged with a crime under paragraph “b, c” of part 5 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (taking a bribe on a large scale committed by extortion).
FSB officers and agents detained Anisimkov last week. clarifies “TVNZ”. According to preliminary data, the head of the Ivdel traffic police is suspected of taking a bribe of 120,000 rubles. For money, he had to ignore violations committed by customers of one of the organizations that rent snowmobiles and ATVs. According to the publication, Anisimkov faces up to 12 years in prison with fines of up to sixty times the amount of bribes.
