Chinese automaker Chery plans to start sales in Russia of a new big crossover Tiggo 9 and a hybrid version of the model, which is already on the market. An official representative of the company told socialbites.ca that cars in the Russian Federation are expected to be released in 2024.
“Headquarters will unveil the Tiggo 9 and the hybrid Tiggo 7 Pro Max. “Both models are expected to be available on the Russian market next year,” said Chery’s press service.
Both cars will be unveiled at the Shanghai International Auto Show, which opens on April 18. Chery Tiggo 9 will be the largest crossover in the brand’s lineup (dimensions 4820x1930x1699 mm and 2820 mm wheelbase). The car will be available in five-seater and seven-seat versions.
The new crossover received 20-inch wheels, matrix headlights, retractable door handles, a 14-speaker Sony audio system, adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition and adaptive suspension. In the cabin, all the buttons on the steering wheel and in the central tunnel are touch-sensitive, and the digital “tidy” and the multimedia display are combined in one unit. The lineup of power units included a two-liter turbo engine (261 hp; 400 Nm) working in conjunction with an eight-speed “automatic”.
