In Russia, 47% of men buy sedans on credit, and 36% buy crossovers. This is evidenced by the report (available from socialbites.ca) on car loans from VTB Bank for January-March 2023. According to the bank’s analysis, 45% of women buy crossovers, while only 40% buy sedans.
“Men are more attracted to sedans because of their dynamism and maneuverability. Women, on the other hand, prefer crossovers, as they have a high sitting position, practicality and can be used as a family car, ”said Alexei Bocharnikov, head of the Autocredit department of VTB on this occasion.
In the first quarter of 2023, Lada cars were the most popular among borrowers of both sexes: one in three men and one in four women received funds to purchase such cars.
Among the top 5 brands among men are Kia, Hyundai, Omoda and Haval.
Omoda was the second most popular brand among women after Lada, followed by Kia, Hyundai and Haval.
