A citizen who deliberately breaks or bends a road sign may become a defendant in a criminal case. In addition, criminal liability threatens the owner of the car, who wants to decorate his garage with such a sign. Sergey Radko, a lawyer for the Freedom of Choice auto movement, told socialbites.ca about this.

“If the road sign is damaged, that is, a person has deliberately bent or torn it, this will give the investigators a reason to see the corpus delicti in accordance with the article on vandalism (Article 214) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. “If the sign was simply removed and placed somewhere nearby, it is unlikely to be a crime,” Radko said.

The lawyer said that if the design of the needle is not damaged, the driver will be fined.

“Some people like to hang street signs in their garage as a souvenir. If a person took this sign from the road, it is a crime under article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on theft,” warned Radko.

Earlier it became known that an unknown man was in Moscow. took it out A pole with a road sign from the ground.
