New passenger and light commercial vehicle sales in the Russian market decreased by 44.7% in the first quarter of 2023, reported In the publication of the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Enterprises (AEB) in Russia.

“For the 1st quarter of 2023, sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia (official manufacturers/importers) decreased by 44.7% or 123,855 units compared to the same period of 2022, total sales were 153,477 units,” the statement said.

It was recorded that in March 2023, new car sales in the Russian market decreased by 10.6% or 5,712 units compared to March 2022, amounting to 48,414 vehicles.
